Ronald McDonald House, Portland Maine

Although this mural is my brainchild and design, it exists due to the 47 additional mosaic artists that contributed mosaics to it's creation! Thank you to all the wonderful artists, friends, and family that are supporting this magical place that keeps families together when they need to be together the most. The Ronald McDonald House Charity provides vital resources and compassionate care to families with children at local children's hospitals. They provide a home away from home, so that families can stay close to their children while they are under the care of hospitals in 64 countries! The mural is called the ABCs of Love, Family, and Healing. Some participating artist (see all who participated below!) were given a letter of the alphabet to mosaic, and came up with a word for that letter representing the theme of the mural. Others were given the task of creating a mosaic heart-shaped leaf for the tree that shelters the letters. All artists that created a leaf are members of the New England Mosaic Society. 

Each artist sent me either their completed mosaic letter, or their leaf design, and I in turn grouted (if needed) and installed each piece. There is a whole lot of love on this wall!
